STEM新增8大專業(yè)領(lǐng)域
美國大學(xué)一般會在規(guī)定的STEM類目里，將自己學(xué)校的個別專業(yè)操作申請為STEM專業(yè)，對應(yīng)畢業(yè)生也將擁有12+24個月的三年OPT資格。
非STEM專業(yè)的學(xué)生只能申請到一年OPT，一年內(nèi)如果無法抽中H-1B工簽就必須離開美國。
此次STEM新政主要是增加新的專業(yè)領(lǐng)域，具體新增專業(yè)如下：
1、Landscape Architecture 景觀建筑
2、Institutional Research 機構(gòu)研究
3、Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering Technology/Technician 機電一體化、機器人與自動化工程技術(shù)/技術(shù)員
4、Composite Materials Technology/Technician 復(fù)合材料技術(shù)/技術(shù)員
5、Linguistics and Computer Science 語言和計算機科學(xué)
6、Developmental and Adolescent Psychology 發(fā)展心理學(xué)和青少年心理學(xué)
7、Geospatial Intelligence 地理空間情報
